Houston

My best friend, Houston (an amazing 8-year-old Weimaraner), and I have had the privilege of having Dr. Bashaw at El Dorado Animal Hospital as our veterinarian.

I received devastating news that Houston has throat cancer. He will have a “Hail Mary” surgery tomorrow and the outcome is bleak. So, I am sitting at the coffee shop as we have done for years and I think about what a terrible state the world is in. However, in all this craziness and negativity is a veterinarian who is kind, compassionate and highly skilled.

I can never repay her for her kindness and thoughtfulness, no matter the outcome tomorrow. She had tirelessly fought to help her patients at all costs, 24/7. So I just want to publicly say “thank you.”
