Gas prices in the Valley dropped slightly despite more instability in the Middle East, as a gallon of gas averaged $4.62 a gallon, down one cent from last week, according to AAA Arizona.
“Pump prices are currently comparable to early June of this year,” said David Caltabiano, AAA Mountain West Group spokesperson in a release on Thursday. “The state and national average are both increasing during a season when gas prices typically go down due to lower gasoline demand after Labor Day.”
According to gasbuddy.com, the cheapest gas in Fountain Hills can be found at either the Circle K on 9618 N. Saguaro Blvd. or 17125 E. Shea Blvd. at $4.69 a gallon. The Chevron at 13779 N. Fountain Hills Blvd. is a somewhat pricier option at $4.99 per gallon.
