Fountain Hills emergency crews responded to the intersection of Shea and Fountain Hills boulevards on Thursday, Feb. 2, at around 10 a.m. where a vehicle had struck a fire hydrant near the corner.

The driver sustained minor injuries, according to Assistant Fire Chief/Fire Marshal Mike Winters.

The hydrant was shut off.
