When Congress reconvenes, I have no idea how long it will take to get through the complicated issue of dealing with the Syrian situation, but I do know there is a lot of unfinished business left to be dealt with that will have to take a back seat until this is settled.
I sincerely hope that this will not affect immigration reform in the long run. We still need to deal with this domestic problem, which in many ways is every bit as important as the foreign policy situation on the table today.
Locally, many of our Congressmen here in Arizona met with groups and leaders on the issue. I truly hope that they listened with an open mind and instead of just identifying problems with immigration reform, they thought of possible solutions.
