From a simple bumper replacement to a full body restoration, Impact Collision Shop, a new auto body, paint and restoration business in town, is prepared to handle the task.

Owner Bill Wallace likes to say his business “makes friends by accidents.”

He acquired the former

Hollywood Collision shop at 11645 Desert Vista in early January. The shop has six employees. Laura Norton oversees the office, marketing and customer relations.

A Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 5 p.m., April 10.

Wallace is no stranger to the business. He has 27 years of experience in collision repairs, painting and restoring automobiles.

He previously operated two auto body shops on Raintree in Scottsdale. He

services foreign and domestic autos and trucks. He has added motorcycles body work and painting.

“We can handle it from top to bottom,” said Wallace.

Impact Collision participated in the recent Concours in the Hills and is a weekly presence at Sunday car shows at Phil’s Filling Station.

Express service separates his business from other repair shops, he said. Depending upon the collision impact, most repairs can be completed within a day to 48 hours, according to Wallace.

Estimates are complimentary. The firm works with all insurance companies.

Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and by appointment on Saturday.

The shop’s telephone number is 480-809-6745.
