In abeyance

Sometimes individuals compend a series of plausible arguments, but then violate that plausibility by drawing a monstrous conclusion based on those insufficient arguments, meaning it goes too far.

Specifically, reference is made to Ms. Schweers’ concluding sentence in her letter to the editor, Dec. 7, 2016. Quote in part: “…to save us from this dangerous and unstable man.”

Even if Mrs. Schweers were educated to the highest degree possible in psychoanalytic techniques and with extensive experience in that field, and her diagnosis accepted as gifted and accurate; she cannot escape the thought that those quoted words above are premature prejudicial judgement.

Hillary Clinton lost. “Get over it.” Advocating for Electoral College electors to switch is truly frightening to me.

What sensibility are you using? Is it common sense? Is it the boogeyman? Is it Chicken Little, the sky is falling? What is it? Tell us without argument. President Elect Trump has not even been sworn into office.

I am optimistic, at my risk of being a possible Pollyanna, that Mr. Trump can and will turn this country to a better path.

If at some time future it becomes necessary for me to be less optimistic about the actions of Mr. Trump, not just his talk, I shall become so.

Wisdom suggests, “hold judgement in abeyance.”
