In the sand

Some members of the Town Council, and the mayor in particular, continue to keep their heads buried in the sand when it comes to effective leadership and stewardship of the Town’s roads, washes and public safety.

They show a complete lack of courage and sound financial management by their failure to make any effort to establish a reasonable property tax for an effective flow of funds on a year in and year out basis. When the mayor leaves office, she will leave the Town with a large financial burden resulting from years of deferred spending and wishful thinking.

Although she seems to never miss an opportunity for a “photo op,” it’s hard to think that she really has the Town’s best interest in mind.
