Commemorating the 83rd anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, the 35-piece concert band Desert Valley Winds is planning a Christmas and Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day concert Saturday, Dec. 7, at 11 a.m. in the Community Center.
Desert Valley Winds will perform several Christmas songs to ring in the holiday season including a number of patriotic songs to commemorate Pearl Harbor including “Hymn to the Fallen” by John Williams and an Armed Forces Salute for each branch of the Armed Forces.
Director of Desert Valley Winds Steve Bouchier says the concert is particularly important to him given the tragic and unforgettable role that the U.S. Navy Band #22 played on Dec. 7, 1941.
