Info leak

Much of the news in recent years has related to transparency in government on one hand and the increased “leaking” of information on the other.

From the killing of four Americans in Benghazi, Libya and the scandal about why a false narrative was perpetuated by several high-ranking government officials, to the serious concerns about former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s e-mails, to the controversy about surveillance of the Trump campaign/transition team and leaking of that information, it’s major news.

National security matters should stay secret and personal privacy matters should stay private, but we deserve transparency and honest communication in government.

Fountain Hills AZ Tea Party will meet on Tuesday, April 18, at 6:30 p.m. at the FHUSD Learning Center. This month, we address transparency in government and freedom of information with our guest, Mark Spencer, the Southwest Projects Coordinator for Judicial Watch, an instrumental organization in the legal release of information and pursuit of truth. Its motto is: “Because no one is above the law.”

Mark is a dynamic speaker with extensive experience in law enforcement and freedom of information. There will be ample opportunity to ask questions and receive answers.

Fountain Hills AZ Tea Party is a not-for-profit organization, committed to education about life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness and our Constitution. We hold true to the words of President Thomas Jefferson: “Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty.”

Doors open at 6:15 p.m. All interested parties are encouraged to attend. Admission is still free, but donations to offset expenses are accepted and much appreciated. Please join us on Tuesday, April 18. Bring your friends, your teens and your questions. For additional information, visit fhteaparty.us.
