In addition to their position concerning important issues in our community, I also consider the moral character and integrity of an individual running for office. I have known Mike Scharnow for over 30 years and have found him to be a man whose character and integrity are outstanding.

In addition to his faithful involvement at Christ’s Church for many years, including Sunday worship and mid-week Bible studies, Mike and Brenda have been on several of our Mexico mission trips to help build homes for impoverished families. This is a very intense couple of days of hard work under austere conditions. Not only were they tireless and vigorous workers, their cheerful and upbeat attitude was appreciated by others on the work team.

Mike has also been a diligent member of our Board of Elders. Mike was highly respected by others on the board not only for his insights, observations and common sense approach to various issues, but also for his conduct and respect in interacting with other board members. He has always taken his responsibilities seriously and has always been dependable and faithful in his commitments.

It is without hesitation that I highly recommend others to join me in voting for Mike Scharnow for town council. Simply stated, “I like Mike!”
