I do not wish to prolong the religious wars of Fountain Hills but cannot permit injustice and intolerance to go by without a response.
The critics of Pastor David Felten apparently felt threatened by his comments in the The Fountain Hills Times. He is accused of intolerance and then at least one of the authors, if not all, display intolerance by attacking Pastor Felten’s comments.
If you want a classic example of intolerance check out the Fountain Hills Ministerial Association. This is not an all-inclusive organization, you must be with the “in crowd” to be invited into their little clique. It’s another example of their exclusive Christianity (intolerance) and not inclusive Christianity. It’s the same crazy attitude of intolerance that we are fighting with radical, so called, Islamists.

All religions are man- made institutions designed to worship, please or appease their gods. Ask 10 Christians to define or describe their God and you will receive 11 different answers.
Am I the only one in possession of the truth and you are wrong? Each religion is right in their own mind, there is no absolute “right” answer for everyone, so tolerance must prevail.
In his recent book Against Dogmatism, author Madmuri Yadlapati said, “Any so-called literal reading of scripture depends on multiple interpretive decisions, including how to translate words and ideas from ancient languages into modern languages, which verses to prioritize over others, how to understand the ‘original’ meaning intended by those ancient writers or translators for their particular audience, and how to extrapolate from the particular circumstances addressed at the time to our very different circumstances . . .”
