The override provides additional funding needed to maintain and enhance educational programs the FH community expects that go beyond the minimal funding the state provides. We need this override so that FHUSD can keep all day kindergarten, give raises to teachers and support staff so that FHUSD can attract and retain quality employees and maintain and expand the variety of programs to keep us competitive with other school districts.

If the override does not pass, FHUSD will have a budget reduction of approximately $1 million which will necessitate the reduction of many programs that are currently in place.
