As our float slowly progressed along the Thanksgiving parade route I was able to visit with many Fountain Hills residents that I hadn’t met before. If you are one of those I want to re-invite you to our December Fountain Hills Republican Club meeting at the Community Center next Saturday, Dec. 16, at 9 a.m.

It is a special meeting for a number of reasons. We will be asking you to bring two items with you. Break out your favorite family recipe and bring it to add to our delicious potluck breakfast. Also, we have traditionally supported the USMC’s project of gathering, “Toys for Tots.” If you don’t have a toy you can support two great causes at the same time. Our own Fountain Hills Toymakers Inc. members have produced over 500 toys this year for several local charities and school children. Several of these toymakers will be on hand to sell you a toy for a family member or for you to donate to the Toys for Tots cause.

Money collected will go toward the cost of supplies for next year’s toy production. On top of all this we will be entertained by popular 550 KFYI radio talk show host, Mike Broomhead. I remind you that you don’t have to be a member to join us, but those who believe it is up to each one of us to continue our drive to make America great again, you will be made most welcome to our friendly club.

We hope that you will accept our invitation to make us a part of your Christmas/Hanukkah celebration. Come early at 8:30 a.m. and enjoy the potluck feast. We are looking forward to visiting with you.
