It’s not about the press table, it about the stated reasons for its removal

I agree with Mr. Dudash, the talk about removing the table that was used primarily by the local media is not that important. 

But Mr. Dudash must have failed to read what Councilpersons Watts and Larrabee said to precipitate it. You see, it was all about not liking what the paper printed; the table was just the prop. Their claims of bias, “partisan” reporting, and "sensational" headlines — that’s the point. In other words, they didn’t like what was being written about their behavior. But don’t take my word for it.

Vice Mayor Larrabee’s email said, “I'd like to suggest we remove the media table from the council chambers. The Fountain Hills Times Independent, especially since the change of ownership, has consistently misquoted the council, reported on items while only seeking statements from one side of the aisle, and on several occasions reported on my job without researching or seeking to understand what I do there.”
