Yes, the election is over and it’s two years until the next major one. However, we still have the responsibility as citizens to stay aware of what is going on in our country and around the world. We need to stay involved in matters of government and watch how current and new challenges are being addressed.
A few weeks ago, I reminded all of us that some elections are decided by a small number of votes. This was again proven in several cases in last week’s election and makes it clear that being a part of the process is vital.
Fountain Hills AZ Tea Party is one means of staying involved and learning about the issues facing us and meeting the people who are elected (or want to be elected) to represent us at various levels of government, and solve problems, rather than create them.

This month, we are pleased to welcome AZ Attorney General-elect Mark Brnovich to our meeting on Tuesday evening, Nov. 18. The attorney general has an important role as the state’s chief lawyer, and recent years have seen many critical issues being handled by that person.
We also will be taking a look ahead to 2016, as we hear from Tara Nolan, a representative of “Run, Ben, Run,” an organization working to support Dr. Ben Carson, a nationally-renowned physician, as a possible candidate for president.
Fountain Hills AZ Tea Party (www.fhteaparty.org) will meet on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 6:30 p.m. at the Fountain Hills School District Learning Center (NE corner of Palisades Blvd. and Golden Eagle Blvd.). Admission is free. Donations to offset expenses are gratefully accepted. All interested parties are welcome to come, listen, learn, ask questions, and bring a friend.
