Posted

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of James David Glasgow, 51, of Fountain Hills on April 20, 2018. Jim was born Sept. 12, 1966 in Baltimore, Md., the youngest of three children.

Jim attended Horizon High School in Scottsdale, and California High School in San Ramon, Calif., where his musical talents were nurtured. He also later attended Scottsdale Community College.

Jim loved to travel, and even lived in San Diego, Calif. for some time where he worked at Sea World feeding the animals. He later moved to Little Rock, Ark. to be near his father’s side of the family, and then ultimately made his home in Fountain Hills to be closer to his mother and sister.

Jim was a very talented musician, loved to entertain, play the guitar and sing karaoke. Jim planned to marry the love of his life, Sally, in the New Year, and though their plans will not come to pass, his family is so grateful for the time they had together and the happiness they shared.

Jim is survived by his mother, Patricia Baxter; sister, Katherine Posey (Darrin); niece, Jenna Sanders (Ryan); nephew, Patrick Hoagland (Marla); great niece, Amara; great nephews, Malchiah and Beau; numerous cousins, and his fiancée, Sally Horvath.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, James D. Glasgow, Sr., M.D. Capt. USAF, and sister, Sara Smith (Richard).

A memorial service and celebration of Jim’s life will be held at Messinger Fountain Hills Mortuary, Friday, May 4 at 6pm.
