Janet Kay Malcolm

Janet Kay Malcolm, 79, of Fountain Hills, Arizona, passed away on December 12, 2025, at home with her son at her side. She was born December 21, 1946, in Spring Valley, Illinois, where she was raised. Janet attended Hall High School and Illinois Valley Community College. For more than 30 years, she worked in the Midwest as a legal secretary, known for her sharp mind, speed, and steadfast work ethic. She later relocated to Fountain Hills, Arizona, where she continued her career for 18 years as a lien specialist with Spooner Physical Therapy.
A devoted Catholic, Janet was a member of the Church of the Ascension in Fountain Hills. She was also a lifelong Chicago Bears fan.
Janet was married and divorced twice, first to Vincent P. Boyle, Jr., and later to Terry Negri.
She is survived by her son, Vincent P. Boyle, III (also known as Paul Negri), and her brother, Ronald Malcolm, Sr.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Jeanne Micheletti, and her parents, Clarence D. Malcolm and Aphalia Lenzi.
In accordance with her wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held. Interment will take place privately at a future date at Valley Memorial Park in Spring Valley, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janet’s memory to a local food pantry or homeless shelter.
