The Fountain Hills High School Band Boosters invite everyone to join in on the festivities at the ninth annual Jazz Under the Stars fundraiser event, set to take place on Saturday, March 29, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the We-Ko-Pa Golf Club.
The Boosters are a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that operates with the mission of providing students with an enriching musical education. Events like the upcoming Jazz Under the Stars show, featuring music from the high school jazz band, help make that mission a reality.
“We are inviting everyone in the community to join us,” said Booster member Julie Levy.

Jazz Under the Stars set for March 29

“The evening’s festivities will feature music, light appetizers, desserts, a cash bar, raffle items and a silent auction. There will also be two special guest jazz musicians that will perform with the Fountain Hills High School Jazz Band. It is a night not to be missed.”
Tickets for the event are $25 per person and can be obtained at Sami Fine Jewelry, Just Bead It and The Barber Shoppe. Tickets may also be purchased from Band Booster Betsy Noce, who will personally deliver tickets to anyone in town. She can be reached at 227-6113. Tickets can also be purchased the night of the event for $30.
Proceeds from the event will help cover the costs of running a successful music program, as the local program relies solely on fundraisers and donations from families, friends and local businesses. The music program has enabled local musicians to perform in events like the Phoenix Veterans Day Parade, the local Thanksgiving Parade, Halloween in the Hills and various other events both in and out of state.
Also covered by this funding are uniform maintenance, repair and replacement, competition entrance fees, instruments and maintenance and travel fees.
