Jeanne Nesgood

Jeanne Nesgood passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on July 2, 2018 with her family by her side.

She was born on Jan. 9, 1927 in Bayonne, N.J. to Anna and Max Petronick. Jeanne was the beloved wife of the late William V. Nesgood, loving mother of William G. Nesgood and dear sister of the late Mary Olsen, Olga Whalen, Anne Murphy and Michael, Stephen and Walter Petronick.

She is survived by her devoted son, Billy, and daughter-in-law, Jenny. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews in the Murphy, Brady, Weisul, Hart and Petronick families in New Jersey and New York.

Jeanne’s career began as a department store model for Bamberger’s in New York and later worked at the Military Ocean Terminal in Bayonne, N.J., where she met the love of her life, Bill. Jeanne and Bill were married for 63 years.

Jeanne became a hair stylist and sales person for Roux hair products. Jeanne loved to sew and cook and also liked going to Fort McDowell Casino with her son to play the slots and eat lobsters.

A private memorial service for family was held at Messinger Mortuary in Fountain Hills.
