Joan Marie Miller

Joan Marie Miller (Viscide), 87, of Fountain Hills, Arizona, passed away on March 2, 2025, after a long struggle with dementia. Joan was born on April 12, 1937, in Newark, New Jersey and grew up in nearby Irvington. Joan met Merritt Miller of Jersey City down the shore in Belmar in 1967 and they married three years later. Together they raised two children, Diane Marie Miller and Daniel Hal Miller in Maplewood, New Jersey. Joan and Merritt worked together for many years in the family IT recruiting business. They left cold winters behind and moved to Fountain Hills in 1996 to be near their daughter and granddaughter, Erica Spurlock Robertson. Joan was the proud grandmother of Anthony and Audrey Miller who live in Austin, Texas, and great grandmother of Clive and Miller Robertson of Phoenix. Joan will be deeply missed by all how knew and loved her. A private memorial will be held.
