John M. Fenley, 85, of Fountain Hills passed away June 2, 2013 under hospice care in Scottsdale.
Born in Seymour, Iowa, John grew up in Iowa, attending Iowa State College in Ames and graduated from Drake University in Des Moines. John made his career in the petroleum business, retiring in 1983.
He is survived by his wife, Gene, celebrating 63 years of marriage; son, John C. Fenley; daughter, Joan Fenley; and two grandchildren, Riley Fenley and Alison Fenley.
A memorial ceremony is scheduled at 1 p.m. Friday, June 7, at Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church, 13001 N. Fountain Hills Blvd.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Messinger Fountain Hills Mortuary.
