The whole town is invited to Fountain Hills favorite springtime activity, Eggstravaganza, scheduled for Golden Eagle Park on Saturday, April 13.

The event is hosted by the town Community Services Department and will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. at the park (15900 E. Golden Eagle Blvd.) and is open to children up to seven years old, who must be accompanied by an adult.

For the 17th year, the event is sponsored by Joe and Carol Goyena with MCO Realty, Inc.

Everyone is invited to come and watch as hundreds of kids scramble to pick up more than 15,000 eggs stuffed with candy and other prizes. The baseball fields will be designated for the following age groups: Field #2, kids 7 and under with siblings; Field #3, kids 4-7; and Field #4, kids 0-3. Don’t forget to bring a basket and look for the numbered eggs. Arrive early, as the “main event” starts promptly at 9 a.m. Hoppy Bunny will serve as Master of Ceremonies and will be available for hugs and pictures throughout the event. Peeps the Chicken will join Hoppy Bunny again this year to hang out with kids and take photos.

Participants can visit with the Fountain Hills Fire Department, which will have trucks to climb on and firefighters to show the kids their gear. No event would be complete without inflatable bouncers to play on, courtesy of McDowell Mountain Community Church, as well as other fun crafts and games by the Fountain Hills Library, First Baptist Church of Fountain Hills, Christ Church of Fountain Hills, Calvary Chapel of Fountain Hills, and North Chapel Fountain Hills.

Kona Ice will be at the park this year selling yummy shave ice. Come join us for lots of fun for the whole family.
