Joseph Fritzel

Joseph Fritzel passed away on March 3, 2019. He was born on April 25, 1929 to Elizabeth and Joseph Fritzel in Chicago Ill.

In 1949 he married the love of his life, Shirley. They raised five children. Joe and Shirley owned and operated Skokie Bakery for many years. In 1983 they retired and moved to Fountain Hills.

Joe was an avid golfer and was awarded many trophies. He was a jack of all trades and could build and repair almost anything. He enjoyed welcoming family and friends to his home for wonderful meals and scrumptious baked desserts. We will always be reminded of him as we cook and bake the many recipes he has shared with us.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Shirley; his daughter, Patty and his grandson, Tom. He is survived by his children, Judi and Bud Fitts, Joe Fritzel, Debbie and Scott Barbour, John Fritzel and Jo Ann Revak, as well as grandchildren, Jenny, Joe, Amy, Brian, Ashley, Alex, Cliff and Jeannie and his great grandchildren, Kegan, Lilia, William, Gilliian, Dylan, Evan, Ava, Sam and Jacques.

Our family would like to give special thanks to Dana and Ken, Susie and Ruby for the extra love and attention that you extended to our dad.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
