Following a vote earlier this year by the church council, JOY Church recently changed its name, logo and mission statement to reflect its renewed focus on spiritual growth and embracing a simpler, more authentic expression of faith.
“We are followers of Jesus who invite others to follow Jesus” is the new mission statement for JOY Church, previously JOY Christian Community Church.
While still a Christian community, JOY Church Senior Pastor Clayton Wilfer says the changes underscore the church’s identity as a Bible-based, Christ-centered and Gospel-focused congregation. Its logo is a circle with a cross in the middle encircled by the words “Bible,” “Christ” and “Gospel.”
