Joyce JoAnn Chesler, age 85, entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at her residence in Fountain Hills.

Joyce was born on April 13, 1931 on a farm in Crosby, Minn. to the late Arthur and Esther Froen. She is preceded in death by her four brothers, Hubert, Clifford, Chester and Arthur.

Joyce married Lee Andrew Chesler on April 28, 1951 in Eveleth, Minn. and they were married for 58 years. Joyce’s husband was a Command Sargent Major in the United States Army and they traveled the world together experiencing new places and cultures.

Joyce’s accomplishments are greatly measured in the role she played as doting wife and devoted loving mother to her four children, Deborah, Rebecca, Arthur (Artie) and David. She thoroughly enjoyed baking, sewing, reading, and listening to music especially country music and she had a great fondness and love for animals and children. Joyce also loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and most recently her great grandchildren.

Always faithful, Joyce enjoyed saying the Rosary and Chaplet of Divine Mercy even when she was deathly ill. Joyce had a special connection to the Blessed Mother as she too knew what it was like to lose a son. Joyce lost her son Andrew at birth and she cherished and loved him within her heart throughout her life and was looking forward to reuniting with him in heaven.

Joyce JoAnn will be most remembered for her loving, caring, humble, gentle, wise and loving heart. She touched many people with her kindness and generous spirit. Joyce was truly a hidden treasure and a wonderful blessing to her family and to those she encountered throughout her life. Joyce will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Deborah Johnson and husband, Charles of Fountain Hills;

daughter, Rebecca Chesler-Bihari and husband, Alex of Brunswick, Ohio; son, Arthur (Artie) Chesler and wife, Nancy of Avondale, Ariz.; son, David Chesler and wife, Pam of Mesa; granddaughter, Aundrea Alcock and husband, William of Gilbert; granddaughters, Adrienne and April Johnson of Arizona; grandson, Jared and granddaughter, Rebecca of South Dakota; grandson, Caleb Bihari and wife, Ashley of Ohio; granddaughter, Amanda Bihari of Ohio; granddaughter, Emily Paes and husband, Michael of Ohio; grandson, Jacob Bihari of Ohio; grandson, Jesse Gervais of Avondale, Ariz,; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Chesler, Liam Alcock, Addison Paes and Caleb Jr. Bihari.
