Joyce Scott

Joyce Scott, 81, was called home peacefully on April 26, 2017, with her children by her side.

Joyce was born Nov. 11, 1935, in Bronx, N.Y. to Murray and Betty Karsh. She then lived in Schenectady, N.Y., and Barrington, Ill., before moving to Fountain Hills in 1973.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Parker Scott. She is survived by her five children, Toni McNamara (Dennis), Donald Scott, Cindy Stahl (Ginger Brooks), Laurie Scott and Robert Green (Tammy); six grandchildren, Shane, Cheryl, Kristin, Holly, Chelsea, and Riley; and three great-grandchildren Camron, Aydin, and Oliver.

Joyce was a talented porcelain doll maker, for which she won several awards and taught lessons. She also loved to cook and feed a crowd.

She was proud of her Jewish heritage and deeply loved her messiah, Jesus Christ. She enjoyed praying and exploring the Jewish roots of Christianity.

Joyce was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Her life will be celebrated at an open house on Sunday, May 21, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 10805 N. 11th Street, Phoenix AZ 85020. Her ashes will be interred next to her husband’s at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
