Joyce Snyder, 78, of Rio Verde passed away Nov. 14 from complications of Alzheimer’s disease. She had been a resident of Silverado, a dementia care facility in Scottsdale for the past six years.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Wayne; two daughters, Michelle (Gene Trousil) of Plano, Texas, Stephanie (Jon Franklin) of Arlington, Texas,; and son, Jeffrey (Angela) of Omaha, Neb.; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a sister, Rosemary Hawkins (Lex) of Dillon, Colo. and Rio Verde; sisters-in-law, Betty Jo Snyder and Pat Carney of New Hampton, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harry Jr. and Gerald Carney; and a sister, Jeanne Carney Woodrow.
A celebration of Joyce’s life will be held Saturday Dec. 13, with a 10:30 a.m. Mass at the Community Church of the Verdes, Rio Verde, followed by internment in the Memorial Garden adjacent the Church. A reception will be held at the Tonto Verde Clubhouse immediately after internment.
