Organizers of a national Christian speech and debate tournament are looking for judges in the Fountain Hills area to take part in the Cactus Clash.
Participants can sign up for one or more speech and debate rounds, each lasting about three hours. This includes check in, training, judging and writing a ballot. No experience is necessary.
“You do not need to be an expert in speech or debate to judge our competitors,” reads a press release announcing the upcoming tournament. “To judge, you just need to be at least 18 years old, a high school graduate and in good physical and mental health.”

The tournament will be held Oct. 26-28 at Cornerstone Family Church (formerly First Baptist of Fountain Hills), 10215 N. Saguaro Blvd.
