The Independence Day holiday means closings for government offices and other services in the area.

Town Hall will take the day off for the holiday.

The Community Center and the library will also be closed on Monday. The Community Center also has no events scheduled for July 4.

The offices of the Fountain Hills School District sites are closed for the summer.

The Sanitary District and Chaparral City Water Company will have their offices closed on July 4, to observe the holiday. Sanitary and water personnel will be available in the event of an emergency by using the after-hours emergency telephone number.

Bank branches in Fountain Hills will be closed Monday, July 4.

The July 4 holiday will cause the trash collection schedule in Fountain Hills to be delayed one day. Customers normally collected on Monday will be picked up on Tuesday; Tuesday on Wednesday, Wednesday on Thursday and Thursday on Friday.

The Times office will be closed on Monday, July 4, so Friday deadlines for display advertising will be moved to Thursday, June 30, at 3 p.m. Deadlines for classified advertising and letters will be Friday, July 1.
