Why must we unwillingly share the blame for what happens when it’s not related directly to us?
Why is it necessary for honest, law-abiding citizens to be punished for someone else’s sins? What’s happened to leadership? What’s happened to all men being created equal? What’s happened to equal justice?
Premise; there’s a myriad of differences in the human condition that doesn’t lend itself to a “one size fits all.”

There’re bad (evil) people, crazy people, drugged people, some politicians, etc. No matter how many drugs are invented, assistance programs established, laws passed or what the tarot cards say. There’s no remedy for all bad human behavior.
One theory of justice is called retributive justice. Which basically means the punishment should fit the crime. The offender forfeits or suspends their right to something of equal value. It’s time to stop trying to control all 300 million people without flaw. Maybe it’s time to concentrate on the criminals and just leave the innocent alone.
Why disarm me because of someone else’s state of mind or beliefs or mood? Why force me to help pay for abortions because of someone else’s promiscuity? Why should I have to obey laws that others aren’t required to obey? Why’s it our fault just because someone else says it is? Doesn’t it makes more sense to penalize the perpetrator and not the victims, or our children, a neighbor, the guy with a job, people still breathing, etc.?
I long for some real solid deterrents. Maybe fear, not coddling. Punishment, not plea bargains. Retribution not excuses.
I’ve come to believe we’ve reached the point where more laws mean less justice? Crazy, huh?
George Washington said: “The administration of justice is the firmest pillar of government.”
And all this time I thought justice was spelled JELLO!
