Kiwanis K-Kids had only one meeting planned for December, but this meeting was a mix of holiday fun. The K-Kids started their holiday fun creating cookies, that will be placed in a jar the students can share with their families. The kids had all the ingredients such as flour, baking soda and chocolate chips out ready for the cookie making process.
“We are making cookies in a jar with dry ingredients and the recipe will be on the jar,” said Kiwanis K-Kids leader Marcia Hoenle. “The students will be able to take the cookie batter back home and make the cookies with their families.”
The other holiday fun activity focused on students giving back to their loved ones. The kids made thank you Christmas letters for any adult or guardian they deeply admired and appreciated.
