K-Kids: Fountain Hills youngsters creating committees and kind bracelets

Students run their first official meeting

Fountain Hills students celebrated Red Ribbon Week to close out October, an event geared toward educating students about making positive, healthy decisions.

However, the schools were not the only ones participating in the Red Ribbon fun. A few clubs also took part in the awareness campaign, and Kiwanis K-Kids is one of them. During their latest meeting, they looked at three different papers with kind words on them. Their objective was to think about kind ways to speak to people. Speaking with kind and passionate words leads to healthy relationships with people, according to club leadership.

Fountain Hills’ Kiwanis K-Kids Club Leader Marcia Hoenle explained the importance of speaking kindly and why K-kids want their students to lead by example.
