Kathryn (Kitty) Rose (Hettwer) Roehrig passed away on Tuesday,April 16, 2013after a lengthy illness. Kitty was born on July 2, 1950 to Donald and Mary Grace (Kain) Hettwer.
She graduated from Goodrich High School in 1968 and was employed as a secretary at Giddings and Lewis in Fond du Lac, Wis.
She married Peter Roehrig at St. Patrick’s Church on Aug. 11, 1972. They had two children: Megan Elizabeth and Christopher Michael.
Kitty was employed at several banking institutions in Fond du Lac holding various positions throughout the years. She moved to Fountain Hills in 2001. She worked at Coldwell Banker as an administrative assistant for five years. Over the years she welcomed many of her Fond du Lac friends to her home in Arizona.
Kitty is survived by her daughter, Megan (Kyle) Long of Unicoi, Tenn. and her son, Christopher (Lara Dzwinel) Roehrig of Westminster, Colo. and three grandsons, Carter and Eli Long and Bennett Roehrig.
She is further survived by two sisters, Marjorie (William) Bailey of
Kewaskum, Wis. and Mary Lou (Darryl) Zar of Fond du Lac and other relatives and friends.
At Kitty’s request cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will take place in Fond du Lac at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley, Phoenix, AZ or Fountain View Manor. The family expresses deep gratitude to the nurses and staff with Hospice of the Valley.
