The Healthy Living Support Group and an open meeting at the Activity Center will feature author Susan Wadia-Ells, Ph.D.

She will appear at both events at the Community Center Wednesday, Feb. 13. The Healthy Living group meets at 10 a.m. The Activity Center meeting starts at 2 p.m.

Wadia-Ells is the author of a new book, “Busting Breast Cancer.” In the book, she shares five steps to keep breast cancer out of the body.

Wadia-Ells’ research and subsequent book indicates that damage to the mitochondria is behind all cancers. According to Wadia-Ells’ research and “The Metabolic Theory of Cancer,” damaged mitochondria produce cellular energy using a pathway to create a micro-environment in which cancer cells thrive.

Her presentation will include her explanation of how and why certain factors play a significant role in breast cancer development and why and how to avoid them. She also will discuss her book.

Wadia-Ells has studied, lived and worked in Iran, Brazil, Zimbabwe and in western and southern India. She currently lives in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Mass.

To attend the 10 a.m. presentation, RSVP to Dr. Allyn Krieger-Fiedler, drakfiedler@cox.net or leave a message at 480-816-1600.

The 2 p.m. presentation is free to Activity Center members and $5 for non-members. To register, stop by the Community Center or call 480-816-5226.
