The Fountain Hills Republican Club’s monthly meeting will be held Saturday, April 20.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with coffee and light breakfast refreshments followed by the 9 a.m. meeting at the Community Center.

Arizona GOP Chairman Kelli Ward, D.O., is keynote speaker. Since being elected to her office in January, Ward has brought much energy and positive leadership to the position. She has been accessible, reaching out in all directions to reunite the party.

Ward served in the Arizona State Senate from 2012-2015 representing the Lake Havasu area. Over the past few years, due to her extensive travel throughout Arizona, she brings to the table a strong understanding of grassroots politics and issues in every corner of the state. This will be a great asset to the Party as the 2020 elections draw near.

Ward earned a BS in Psychology from Duke University. She was awarded a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. She also received a master’s degree in public health from A.T. Still University. While studying osteopathic medicine, Ward met her husband Michael, who served in the Arizona National Guard. The couple have three children.

Fountain Hills club officials said that this is an important time in the history of the state and the country. The direction taken in November 2020 will affect the welfare of not only Republicans, members said. Fellow Republicans and Independents are encouraged to get involved. All are welcome to come listen and participate in the discussion.
