Kenneth Underwood

Kenneth Underwood, 91, of Fountain Hills, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016, at his home with his wife by his side.

He was born in Owosso, Mich., to Wayne and Norma Underwood and was the last surviving son of five children. He served in the United States Air Force as a B-24 pilot.

Following his service in the Air Force, Ken worked for Ford Motor Credit Corporation in Dearborn, Mich., and raised his family in Plymouth, Mich.

He is predeceased by his wife Dorothy Jean Underwood (1993) and survived by his wife Catherine, son John Underwood (Catherine), daughters Nancy Jacobs (Jeff) and Kitty Childers (Bruce) as well as five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Fountain Hills. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice of the Valley.
