On Jan. 2 I was driving east on Shea Blvd. when my car suddenly stopped about three blocks west of Crestview Drive.
I immediately called AAA for a tow. I no sooner hung up the phone when a very nice young man on his way to work at McDonald’s named Chris stopped and wanted to push my car off the road. I was parked in the inside lane.
Chris insisted and tried, but my car was stopped a little uphill and did not move. I thanked him and a few minutes later a senior gentleman stopped and asked if I needed help. Then two nice young men stopped and offered help. Then another senior gentleman and finally a young man who said he was born and raised in Fountain Hills.

Six people stopped and offered help in a 35-minute period! Frankly, I was overwhelmed.
Finally, a Sheriff’s car arrived and parked behind my car to protect it. The deputy and the young man stayed with me until the tow truck arrived.
I’m writing this letter to let people know what wonderful, caring people we have here in Fountain Hills and we do not read enough or hear enough about the good deeds people do.
Again, I wish to thank all these people. The future of our country looks pretty good to me from the kind actions of the four young men.
