'Kindness' initiative launched

“In our world today it seems that you can never have enough kindness,” so says Boyce Baldwin, president of the Fountain Hills Cultural and Civic Association.

To that end, Baldwin announced that the association has formed a new committee called the Fountain Hills Kindness Committee.

The committee’s purpose is to publish stories of random acts of kindness that take place in Fountain Hills. These stories will appear on the committee’s web site and selected stories will be published in The Fountain Hills Times from time to time.

Citizens are invited to submit stories of random acts of kindness that they may have done, perhaps an act that they witnessed or been a recipient of an act of kindness.

These stories can be submitted by going to the committee’s website: FountainHillsKindness.com.

This is the same site where stories will be published as they are received.

Several stories regarding kindness are already featured on the site.

The kindness website also offers free cards to pass out for those performing acts of kindness (this is offered on the second page of the site). The card says: “You are the recipient of a Random Act of Kindness! …hope you’ll do the same for someone else.”

“We know there are countless acts of kindness performed daily by our citizens, young and old,” Baldwin added.

“Our new committee would like to publicize these stories in the hope of increasing acts of kindness performed in Fountain Hills, and making us an even better community to live in and enjoy.”

The Fountain Hills Cultural and Civic Association is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to develop, promote and operate programs and activities that will preserve and enhance the cultural, civic, educational and social qualities of Fountain Hills.
