Kite festival a colorful hit

Hundreds gathered in Fountain Park Saturday, March 22, for the annual Kite Festival hosted by the Pakistan Information and Cultural Organization. The event, known as Basant Mela in Pakistan, traditionally celebrates the arrival of spring. The only thing missing Saturday was a brisk wind, but participants still had a lot of flyin' fun.
