The entire family is welcome to visit Sami’s that day to enjoy an ice cream treat while supporting a local animal charity.
Several cats and kittens will attend the event to be adopted.

Sami Fine Jewelry and Fearless Kitty are teaming up for a “Kittens & Cream” social from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 6, in the jewelry store, 16704 Avenue of the Fountains.
The entire family is welcome to visit Sami’s that day to enjoy an ice cream treat while supporting a local animal charity.
Several cats and kittens will attend the event to be adopted.
Kim Kamins, spokeswoman for the all-volunteer non-profit organization to rescue orphaned and helpless cats and kittens, said Sami’s donated a necklace for a raffle.
The necklace is in the shape of a sterling silver paw inlaid with 36 .2mm round Arizona Four Peaks amethysts.
The retail value is $195. Raffle tickets are $5 each. Tickets are available online until 11:59 p.m., Friday, Aug. 5, and at the store until 12:50 p.m., Sat., Aug. 6. The winner does not have to be present to win.
The rescue organization has 25 mature cats and 25 kittens for adoption, said Kamins. The fee to adopt a feline has been reduced by half to $50.
