Fearless Kitty Rescue is hosting their first annual Fearless Kitty 5K Run/Walk fundraiser on June 5. The 5K will take place at the scenic and state-of-the-art Scottsdale Sports Complex in the heart of Scottsdale, starting bright and early at 7:30 a.m. All proceeds will go to Fearless Kitty Rescue.

The race is open to everyone and all are welcome to participate. From cat lovers who just want to walk to serious runners who want to come together to help save the lives of cats, the 5K will take place on a point-to-point outdoor course.

Every participant will receive a Fearless Kitty Rescue medal and a special race t-shirt. Runners are also encouraged to dress up in cat-themed costumes. An award ceremony will take place at the end of the race honoring the top runners, along with awarding the best costume with a prize. After the ceremony, runners can mingle and enjoy a brunch complete with bagels fruit and refreshments.

The local non-profit and no-kill rescue is dedicated to finding homes for abandoned and homeless cats of all ages. Fearless Kitty Rescue is made up entirely of volunteers and is completely funded by donations. The rescue has held many noteworthy fundraisers in the past and they are hoping the 5K will be a great success and become an annual event.

The rescue’s mission for the Fearless Kitty 5K is to not just raise funds for the organization, but also awareness to help Fearless Kitty Rescue continue its life-saving efforts.
