Republic Services is running a contest between the River of Time Museum and two other worthy organizations to determine how $10,000 will be awarded in June. Each organization has a need for additional funding. The River of Time Museum will need additional funding for our future exhibition about water, which many believe is the most important issue of the 21st century.
Even now concern is building; witness the problem in California. At the River of Time Museum, water is more than implied by our name. We are planning a significant addition that will tell the whole story about water in our Valley: how it gets to our faucets and how to protect and conserve this vital resource. From the early ancient canals to the Roosevelt Dam, SRP and CAP systems, the River of Time tells a remarkable story. Now we want to move forward with the current state of water delivery emphasizing conservation.
EPCOR, the owner of Chaparral Water Company, has already donated $5,000 to start this project, and we are working with SRP and CAP about their roles. During February through May we are competing for $5,000 additional funding from the My Republic Rewards Community Grant Program. All Republic Services customers are eligible to register and vote their points for the River of Time Museum.

It is fast and easy; here’s how:
On the town’s website fh.az.gov, click on My Republic Rewards on the right. Register to be part of the program or if you are registered, log on. At the top of the page in white letters on dark blue, click Community Grants; then click under the River of Time Museum’s entry. Enter the number of points you have and click on vote. That’s all there is to it! You will earn points every week for recycling and more for various activities including 700 points for first time registrants. (Click on Learn).
So please vote your points often for the River of Time Museum. The contest winner will be announced in June. Please help us by participating in the My Republic Rewards Community Grant Program.
