Konnie RaNae Peach Middleton was born on March 26, 1954, in Fargo, ND, to Kent and Karen Peach. She passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026, after a ten year battle with metastatic melanoma. Throughout her journey, Konnie faced every challenge with remarkable strength, grace, unwavering faith, and deep love for those around her. Konnie spent most of her childhood in Grand Forks, ND, graduating from Central High School in 1972. She earned a B.S in Education and Early Childhood Development from the University of North Dakota in 1975, where she was a proud member of Pi Beta Phi sorority and formed lifelong friendships. At UND, Konnie met the love of her life, Tom Middleton, at a Phi Delta Theta fraternity party in 1972. After five years of long distance dating, they married on November 26, 1977. Together they built a beautiful life, living in Minneapolis, Cincinnati, St. Louis, and Philadelphia before retiring to Fountain Hills, AZ. After teaching for several years, Konnie built a successful career in retail merchandising as a buyer for major department stores, traveling throughout the US and abroad. Konnie and Tom were blessed with two daughters, Nicole and Lindsay. Family was always at the center of Konnie’s life and she treasured the close bond they shared. She delighted in celebrating every milestone, creating traditions, and bringing everyone together. Wherever she lived, Konnie dedicated herself to serving others. She volunteered at her daughters’ schools and enriched the lives of countless children. During her 25 years in PA, she faithfully served Boehms Church in Blue Bell as an elder, deacon, Sunday school teacher, and founder of the church’s Vacation Bible School program. After retiring to Fountain Hills in 2010, Konnie embraced a joyful chapter filled with friendships, golf, travel, and community. Affectionately known as the “Social Director,” she had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcomed, included, and loved. Believing deeply in the power of education, she and Tom established the Middleton School of Entrepreneurship and Business Management at the University of North Dakota, creating a lasting legacy for future generations. Even as her cancer progressed, Konnie lived with gratitude, resilience, and purpose, inspiring others with her positive spirit and unwavering faith. She will be remembered for her generous heart, joyful laughter, and adventurous spirit. She is survived by her devoted husband, Tom; her beloved daughters, Nicole and Lindsay; her sister, Kay; and her brother, Kim. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kent and Karen Peach; her niece, Taunia; and many dear friends. A funeral service and a celebration of life will be held in November in Fountain Hills.
