Kurland: Fountain Hills politics is keeping people away
I ran unsuccessfully for state office to represent Fountain Hills and really fell in love with the town. It seemed that every inch had a beautiful vista. My wife and I have enjoyed hiking, eating by the fountain and the overall small-town feel. We have even spoken of downsizing a few miles from our current location to enjoy Fountain Hills full time.
But, as I follow the local politics, those thoughts are never going to materialize. In a nutshell, the negativity from the “anti” crowd is just too much. Seeing negative signage accusing the mayor of being the devil incarnate is ridiculous. Do you people realize how many folks are completely shut off from Fountain Hills by this junk?
I can't believe I have to say this to such an aging population but, grow up.
