Kurowski: On the topics of mudslinging and misinformation

Posted

I recently read an opinion by Dean Hughson talking about mudslinging and misinformation. I’d like to ask, who’s slinging mud? Who’s misinforming the public?

But also, who’s hiding facts and going behind our backs to work with vendors? Now there’s something Mr. Hughson failed to ask.

Gerry Friedel is trying so hard to claw back over $2 million of town money he feels we were overbilled on. Is this misinformation or mudslinging?

Rick Watts and Matthew Corrigan are against the current 5G tower initiative because it fails to protect residents, families and children because the contract is missing a vital paragraph dealing with liability. They both stated they are not against 5G, they just want a liability clause to protect all of us. Mudslinging? Misinformation? Not in my eyes.

But Kalivianakis, not currently running, has been accused twice now of possibly going behind our backs in an improper manner.

I’ve lived here now for over five years and have been through election cycles and have seen some of the failures our current town council has allowed to happen. It’s not all “beautiful and well run.” My opinion, sorry!

I’ll be voting for Gerry Friedel, Rick Watts and Mathew Corrigan in the next election.

If anyone thinks that Dickey and McMahon deserve to keep their seats because they “keep progressing” the town, just remember how they put us all into a state of limbo by voting against seating Gayle Earle early at the last board meeting. They are instead the obstructionists who will prevent us from “progressing” now.

By working together with people who show that we matter to them and going to the polls, we can build a stronger, more united Fountain Hills.
