I just read a letter to the editor about how terrible La Jolla, Calif. has become and the writer will no longer visit there. Let us take a look and compare.
I recently reported the cost of living in Fountain Hills to be a little over 127 percent for the average U.S. town. Each cost of living index is based on a national average of 100. If the amount is below 100, it is lower than the national average. If the amount is above 100, it is higher than the national average.
The cost of living index for La Jolla, Calif. is 248. Yes, 248. That is 121 higher than Fountain Hills. So, the cost of living in La Jolla is way higher than Fountain Hills. Yet, it is so bad of a community the letter writer would not move back. Then we are told he will vote to raise the cost of living index for Fountain Hills because of what he saw in La Jolla.

Raising the cost of living in Fountain Hills will not bring more families to our town. Vote no.
