The Labor Day weekend is coming up, which means it’s time to give the summer season one final send-off before settling into the fall routine.
The Town had its own Back 2 School bash last week, the results of which you can see on the front page of this very issue and in the accompanying gallery. Folks from all over town worked together to put on this fantastic end-of-summer event, with a crowd of youngsters eager to splash around in the water, play games, grab some food and enjoy a bit of fun in the sun before the temperatures decline much further.

The Labor Day weekend is coming up, which means it’s time to give the summer season one final send-off before settling into the fall routine.

Folks from all over town worked together to put on this fantastic end-of-summer event, with a crowd of youngsters eager to splash around in the water, play games, grab some food and enjoy a bit of fun in the sun before the temperatures decline much further.
With the three-day weekend on the horizon, we imagine a lot of folks will be hitting the road to enjoy this final hoo-rah for the summer, complete with trips down the river, fishing, camping, barbequing and the like. Keep in mind that there’s nothing wrong with just kicking around town, either. There’s plenty of fun to be had this weekend whether staying or going, so go recharge those batteries and enjoy this final dose of summer fun.
