Fountain Hills Friends of the Library and Stories in the Hills is hosting its third Storytellers event and inviting the community to participate.

A number of storytellers have already applied, and the event coordinators are seeking a few more storytellers to volunteer to share their five-minute stories.

The theme of this Storytellers event is, “An Important Event in my Life” and is Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 3 p.m. in the Community Center.

The event is free and anyone who enjoys listening to stories is invited to attend.

To volunteer as a storyteller, send an email to Carol Kubota at 2ndlifetravel@gmail.com and describe what the event was, acknowledge the story is five minutes long and agree to attend one or more rehearsals. The deadline for submission is Friday, Oct. 13.

“Mark your calendars to attend this fun and interesting event,” the press release said. “Bring your friends and no admission charged.”

Sponsored by Fountain Hills Friends of the Library, Stories in the Hills promotes local storytellers and provides community members a stage to share their untold tales.

The Community Center is located at 13001 N. La Montana Drive. For more information, call 480-816-5200.
