An original musical comedy has opened Fountain Hills Theater’s 2025-26 season.

“Captain Preston, the Pirate Scourge,” from the team of Ross Collins and Miciah Dodge, runs through Aug. 31 at the theater located at 11445 N. Saguaro Blvd.

Captain Preston, a pirate trying to make a name for himself, and the governor’s bored daughter, Wendy, join forces to find the fabled Pearl of Poseidon, a theater press release sums up of the story.

An original musical comedy has opened Fountain Hills Theater’s 2025-26 season.

“Captain Preston, the Pirate Scourge,” from the team of Ross Collins and Miciah Dodge, runs through Aug. 31 at the theater located at 11445 N. Saguaro Blvd.

Captain Preston, a pirate trying to make a name for himself, and the governor’s bored daughter, Wendy, join forces to find the fabled Pearl of Poseidon, a theater press release sums up of the story.

The show is directed by Gil Berry, musically directed by John Luke Osorio, and choreographed by Brittany Foster. “Captain Preston, the Pirate Scourge” is presented through special arrangement with Ross Collins, with music composed by Miciah Dodge and lyrics written by Collins and Dodge.

All performances take place in The Ross Collins Playhouse at Fountain Hills Theater.

Tickets are $40 for adults and $18 for kids 17 and under.
