Laura Lee Verster

Posted

My beloved wife and friend of thirty-five years, Laura Lee Verster, has passed into the waiting arms of our Savior, Jesus the Christ, on Saturday afternoon, April 14, 2018.

Today she is breathing blessed celestial air and is enjoying perfect love and the peace that can come only from God. Praise God. Hallelujah.

The Lord blessed me by allowing Laura to pass from my arms to His embrace, when she begins to enjoy the perfect, glorious love that is promised to those who believe. It is with joy and gratitude that I look to 1 Cor. 2:9 which reads “what no eye has seen, nor ear has heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him.” And oh, did she love the Lord! My dearest knew without question that she was a daughter of the most High. She knew the grace of the Messiah, the very fulfillment of God’s covenantal promises.

Grateful thanks to all who have so faithfully loved Laura, and diligently prayed for her circumstance. She bravely chose to forego chemotherapy or radiation for cancer because she felt no leading from the Lord to do so. Rather, she felt a calling to be a witness of trust and obedience to Him in a natural life ending.

And what an astounding, unexpected and God honoring testimony her faith produced! We have all been utterly humbled to see how God manifested his glory through it and chose to use Laura in this capacity, who never once waivered from her original decision.

There will be a private burial at Paradise Memorial Gardens in the mid-week.

All are welcome to attend the funeral service on Saturday, April 21, at 11 a.m. that will be held at First Baptist Church of Fountain Hills, 10215 N. Saguaro Blvd., Fountain Hills, AZ 85268.

Following the service, there will be a celebration of Laura’s life in the adjoining Fellowship Hall of the church, where light foods and libations will be available. To God be the Glory.

Flower arrangements will be gratefully accepted at the church the day before or morning of the funeral service on Saturday.
